Fishing triumph!Now it's your turn to brag! Show the world just how good you are. We're interested in seeing photographs of your angling triumphs. You can email them to: mberman1@tampabay.rr.com. Please reduce digital photos in size so that they will not take too long to download. Be sure to include details as to where, when and how you caught the fish, plus your return address  -- or send your prints to Capt. Mel Berman, 4002 Gandy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33611. If your photo is chosen, you will receive a loaded Love Lures Tackle box, -- and your picture will be on display for an entire week!

Our Fish Picture of the Week!

Hello Capt. Mel;

My dad (Roy Shultz) and I had never been good at catching Kings out of Tampa. We made it a mission to land a good size one this year and on our third trip out, we boated this 22 pounder on April 23rd. After going 0 for 9 on hits, the 10th one was the charm. This is my first Tampa Kingfish.

We were fishing in the ships channel with free-lined live threadfins. I had just learned how to make the mono-to-wire knots (Albright knot) and the stinger rig, myself. So I was relieved to see my knots all held true.

Since conquering that mission, we are now looking to get our first Tampa tarpon. Your website has helped us tremendously! Thanks for all your efforts!

Sincerely,
Andrew Shultz

Way to go Andrew! what a nice king -- and what fun they are to catch! As his prize, Andrew will receive a" Capt. Mel MirrOlure assortment" of some of the most  productive, fish-catching plugs she and her dad Tim ever use.
