Our Fish Picture of the Week! Hey Capt. Mel,
My name is Scott Reeser and I caught my first ever blackin tuna on July 25th and it was a nice one at that! We were on the 27T Contender "Blue Runner" in 130 feet of water. The fish ate a flatlined blue runner while we were bottom fishing in the middle grounds on an overnight trip. The fish screamed 200 yards off the Torium 30 while we were anchored and we had to pull anchor and chase the fish down, after a 30 minute fight we finally gaffed it and the tuna weighed 31 lbs on the marina scale.
