Fall fishing, coming along nicely.    The water temperature is perfect.   No cold fronts on the horizon.   These are the months we look forward to all year.     It sure is hot here most of the year.   Right now:   Ahhhh, so soothing.    Today:  The best pompano fishing I have ever seen.   I had a guy, no experience, catch 33 pompano with bad technique.    I made two casts.   I caught two pompano.   So, these fish were huge.     Almost every one of them the biggest fish I have seen all year.   Me, no cooler and ice.    All 35 fish still live in Tampa Bay.     Onward and upward.   Who wants to go??

Away from fishing, Thoughts from Uncle Neil??

Mine, a simplistic view on life.      If you don’t want to get thumped, stop being an idiot.     Case in point, you are at a Miami football game.   Now, it’s bad enough that you are a Miami fan.  But you’re drunk.  So drunk the cops are taking you out.     So, what do you do?  You take a swipe at the cop.     You get your clock bell rung.     My simplistic view:   You got what you earned.   If you take a swing at a police officer, you should get your bell rung.

People continue to amaze me. There are people that think Bowe Bergdahl deserve to be free. I am not one of those people. I lean more towards putting him in front of a firing squad.   But alas, I am not in a position of power and no one really cares what I think.

They could shut the NFL down and all those guys could go to prison where they belong. People could go to church instead and we would probably have a better Society all the way around.

Baseball, over for another year, a pretty good postseason and World Series.   Where policemen sing the National Anthem and everyone stands.     Irony:  The one guy who didn’t stand, arrested on weapons charges.      You really can’t have it both ways.     The guy gets an F in protesting.

The anti guy crowd:   My observation, how come the people talking about guns seem to be the ones who don’t seem to know a thing about guns?      OK, in fairness, you want to create a solution:    If you can take away guns from everyone in the world, I will support it.    If you can’t, you should probably just shut up.     26 people killed at a church.    A number that could have grown a great deal more if the guy across the street didn’t have a gun.     The politics of gun discussions make me want to jump off a bridge.      Most politics does that to me but hearing people talk about guns makes me wish I lived on an island by myself.   Do you know what stops….A bad guy with a gun. A good guy with a gun

What else is there that no one cares what I think?

My client from 2 months ago called. I had made a remark where we are letting too many of the wrong people into this country. He said he disagreed. We kind of let it go at there. I told him to think about me that is different is that his opinion doesn’t bother me. Well he called yesterday and he said he has changed his mind. He says we are letting too many of the wrong kind of people in this country. I asked him what changed his mind. He talked about the people who drove a truck on a sidewalk in New York. I asked him if he knew someone who got hurt and he said yes his nephews best friend got killed. I told him that maybe that’s all it takes, it doesn’t mean much until someone you know gets killed.

I am also curious about this world.   How much really happened and how much is people making stuff up?    I can tell you, I can’t add to it.   I have never been molested.    I’ve beaten up a guy who probably wanted to, but it still doesn’t put me in a category.    It’s bad, people it really happens to.   To me it is almost worse if you make up an allegation against someone.     How much is truth and how much of it is attention seekers?

We live in such a strange society.  What we are “offended” by now, not offensive to me.     But they can still show the movie Blazing Saddles?     How come that doesn’t cause a riot?    Bigger problems in life:  My brother doesn’t like to eat pompano.   I don’t want to eat anything else..

In the next episode:   Celebrating dogs birthdays.
