A Message and Picture From a Reader in Guam

Capt. Mel,

Greetings from Guam. I though that I would give you an update on the fishing on this tiny little US Territory of Guam in the Western Pacific. We left the dock at 6am and didn't hit our one and only Mahi till 9am...Very slow day for these waters. On our way back to the marina, the largest lure on the largest rod and reel began to sing its magical sound of fish on. After a 20 minute fight, I reeled what is now the Sumay Cove, Guam dock record. The previous record for Wahoo (Ono) was 31 pounds and held for years and my catch weighed in at 41 pounds. I miss fishing for Snook and Red Fish in Tampa Bay and surrounding area.

Tight lines,

David
