Snook fishing has been very good on the outer points, deep tidal flowing bends in the creeks and even in our rivers around the docks. On the outside keys the snook are in schools and single fish are found on the inside. The best bait has been a glow soft plastic with a 1/8th chartreuse jig head. A vertical jigging action will get the bite. The trout bite has been all over the board from the Foul Area, the flats south of the Homosassa channel and up on the limestone rocks on the incoming high tide. Offshore MorrOlure LiL Johns in watermelon redflake have been the best bait and inshore go with a D.O.A. 5.5 glow jerk bait nosed hooked with a 3/0 Owner hook.
Redfishing the last hour of incoming high tide is the most productive. The keys between Little Homosassa River and Fish Creek is the best area using live shrimp or cut pinfish. High incoming tide will be in the afternoon this weekend.
