Defunding the police.   OK   I said nothing.   All the other stuff:   Pretty much the same.   Attacking cartoon characters?   Seriously?    Honest to God, where are we in this world?

The internet is wearing me out:  People keeping fish that are just way too small, in some cases also illegal.     We as a species:   Do not take care of the Earth.    Face Book, having a hard time even visiting it.   Just not impressed with what people post.    To me, it’s like they make no effort at all.    It’s like they are intentionally posting worthless stuff.   A few deaths that were newsworthy on there.   One of them:  The father of a friend of mine.   I saw that Curly from the Globetrotters just bought it.    But I didn’t know him.    Watched what he did back in the day but it doesn’t affect me greatly because I didn’t know him.

The internet:  Those aren’t bluefish, they’re blue runners.

The internet:  ID this fish for me.   You don’t know what it is but you killed it and kept it??

Not the internet but annoying.  Robo calls.   I got none of them for 20 plus years.   Now, my phone rings all day.    They don’t leave messages usually.     I take the time to block numbers but that doesn’t seem to put an end to it.

Cartoons boycotted for violent content.  Well, why isn’t rap music being addressed ahead of cartoons?    There’s an impact.    And, if we want to set examples, why not start where it really matters?   The defunding of the police was in the last one.    About as stupid as anything out there:  The police should get more funding instead of less.    I’m a backer.     I am all for what they do.   One bad cop here and there will weed themselves out.   The Confederate flag and the entire confederacy:  Denounced.   Our past.  Our history being erased?   Why?    I don’t get it.    And in the grand scheme of things, doesn’t have anything to do with me.    So, whatever.     Life is good.

But who cares what I think?   Apparently, the people who read this.    The Neil Blog took the most hits of any article in late May to middle of June.    I consider it an honor.    I know the people that read every time.     And, I’m surprised all the people that have the chance to click on the article and just don’t.     But, whatever.   Just another thing that I do:  Life is good.

My father, has been on my mind a great deal recently.    Stuff that was added to book #5.    That one comes out when life changes.    It won’t have many more edits.    It has really been worked over and it ready.   But not yet.    Because he was in my life for 47 plus years:  Life is good.

Other losses, kind of the way it goes.   Harder on others than me.    I’m sorry it happened but it is just a part of life.     I’m still alive which, in the grand scheme of things is probably most important?   When my time is up, probably no one really cares.   And that’s fine.   Of the living, life is interesting.   Some guys I just didn’t think had it, they’re looking exceptional these days.    Kind of inspiring.   Life is good.

I am on the boycott of the New Orleans Saints and Taylor Swift.    Both have completely turned me off.    And why:  They have people who think what they think should be what we all think.    Not good.   Not good at all.    Taylor Swift isn’t old enough to tell me her opinion on anything.   The guy that plays for the Saints:   He is driving down his team and the sport.    They do what they do, I am over here on my own and life is good.

My enemies got into my Pub?    40 coasters one day:  The next day, they’re all gone.     Day bartender has no idea what happened to them.     They lasted one day.     They weren’t free.    I think I’ll take them in there in smaller numbers.   But, the day bartender is one of the owners.     I want her to have the night people keep an eye out.   If it’s one of my enemies throwing them away, I want to know who it is so I can take appropriate action.    Since I don’t care if someone hates me, life is good.

The grocery store trip:  Huge.   I am the most “out of stuff” of my entire life.    The way I bought; I could go two more months without going to the store.   But I haven’t been in eight weeks and all the regular stuff I use.   It’s gone.     Amazing how much I had a month ago:  Gone.      So, it’s time.   And I’ll be in good shape for another two months after this trip.    The trip to the hardware store got the supplies on the list.    Great home improvement stuff.    I love my place so life is good.

Politics, I have avoided.    I took a poke at one guy.   He didn’t like it but he chose not to take me on.    Good choice and probably intelligence founded:  The guy knows my past.    He hates Trump.     He is far, far left.    Pretty much ignored the guy and his strong (way too often) politics but he struck me the wrong way so I zinged him.    So, probably just another guy who is deciding to hate me now, because of their politics.     The people and their politics, has been interesting over the years.     People whose politics are more important than their friends?   Must be a lonely way to live.   Some of the people spouting off:  I’m surprised.    The pure unadulterated hatred, from some people who are supposed to be so pure.     It’s interesting.    Didn’t get into politics myself:  So, life is good.

Sports still not restarted.     I’m surprised.   A virus that, in my opinion, hasn’t done much.    A high school teacher had friends hit the hardest.   Me, I’m still at one.     One person that I know that got it.   And that kid wouldn’t have if he didn’t live in a special needs home.    I’m just not impressed.     Time will tell:   I personally think the Covid thing was the biggest overreaction in the history of the World.   Seriously:   Hockey, baseball.    They couldn’t restart those sports.  No fans.    One of the players gets it, they’re professional athletes and more likely to recover easily than the common guy.    I don’t get it.   Even without sports, life is good.

The English language, continuously misused:   Lamb is often used figuratively to mean someone innocent or meek. Lamb comes from the Old English words lamb or lomb, which have Germanic origins. … In American English, lam is an escape, especially from authorities such as the police. The word lam is pickpocket slang, in use since the turn of the twentieth century.   Put the stupid b on the end of the word and make it right.    So, you’re* stupid.   Affects me not, life is good.

An FWC detective:  Shot and killed by a 20-year-old.   Senseless loss.   Not good.

Not the only such loss.   It happens all the time.    Doesn’t get the attention other stuff does.       Kobe Bryant was a rapist.   Big news.     This George guy was a lowlife criminal:   Immortalized.   The world is a strange place.   Since it doesn’t affect me and I don’t really care, life is good.

Cholesterol pills:    I’ve been taking for three months.   I will find out in three weeks if it has helped.    My blood pressure is back up again.   They are recommending a second medication for that.    Getting older isn’t fun.   Life is good.   They tell me I am going to live a long time.

The Professional Baseball Umpire, selling regularly.   Still hundreds of people I thought would get it and haven’t yet.     The other three books, selling here and there.     Kayak Fishing has sold more than the other two.    Fishing Tampa Bay, I reordered.     Book 5 is in the future.     Life is good.

Tying flies is hitting a new height.   Tied 12 for Tommy to try on tarpon.   He is actually out there right now with them.     I am a co-host of a Fly Swap group.   I’m handling the next one.,    Then Jay, then back to me.   I have my next two tied for those exchanges.     I’ll go back to my redfish fly and I’ll do the best tarpon fly after I get feedback from Tommy.      Got resupplied to do teasers again but there is no hurry.   I got 300 more ahead and no buyers.   It is odd to me that I don’t sell 50 teasers a day.    I’m lucky if I sell 50 in an entire month.   Weird.   The Redfish Fly:  Done for a future Swap.     I make more money on a fly than I do a teaser.    I’d like to see both selling more.   I’ve got them.  It would be good to see supplies dropping.      Got rid of rods, a good thing.   Anyway, I’m not worried about it.   Ultimately I don’t care.   But I keep doing the work and supplies keep rising.     People should want what I have.   Alas, life is good.

On the water:  Amazing situations.     Things are alive out there.   Having species closed it helping.   Six trips in the next three weeks:  Not off the charts, but three of them are big trips.    One four person and two three person outings.   Good times.   Life is good.

It deserves mention   Again.  It’s Sense, not scents.     I belong to too many pages.   I watch the English language just get assassinated.      Mostly, anymore, I don’t say anything.    It does bother me.    People who could get a driver’s license but can’t spell things anywhere near correctly:  Simple things.    Whatever.     I use “Spell check” for most of what I do.   It finds errors I wouldn’t have done wrong mostly, but I typed wrong.    I’d like to see the average guy do something.

Sold two more fishing rods.    Nice guy      He will be coming back for more stuff.  And bringing friends.   He got a deal.   And he knows it.    Honestly:    I am just glad to have stuff going to people that will use it instead of sitting around here collecting dust.   in the meantime:  Two more trips booked.   Life is good.

The great trips coming up:  I’m happy to have the business.    I climbed out of the hole of the house.   Buying it was the start.   Then the problems that arise.    My air conditioner is working.   That was an $8000 expense:  Paid off.    Now, if the schedule stays the same, things will approach an all-time high.    Not even spending money at the bar and smoking cigars holds me down.    Life is good.

I hope other people are having a life like mine.    Mine has been a good one.   A career in pro baseball.   Respect.   A career as a fishing guide, respect.     I am a winner.     My whole life, I have been competitive.    After playing sports, it was about being the best at what I do.     My father was amused.    I can’t compare to what he was and did.   But he was indeed amused with what I did with my life.   On top of it all, I like my friends.    Life is good.
