Pro Guide Sites

Pro Guide Sites is owned by Captain Clay Eavenson.   I hired Clay for the rebuild of    This was a monster project for one of the biggest sites there is with a huge amount of content to transfer, more than 28,000 total members and almost 9,000 forum members.   It took my existing site which was good, but not up to current standards and put it into Word Press, a much more useful and powerful system.

My reason for talking about the experience is easy. Others who are in the market for this kind of service need to go to this source.   I knew Clay for years before this interaction.    I watched his work. I have written for several blogs that Clay runs for over six years now.   Anyway, his technology exceeded my own.    That was part of it.    But to do a transition like this one, it had to be someone who knows what they are doing.

The process was fairly easy.   The first few weeks he just kept me updated.   We had the discussions about what I wanted and he was very clear in telling me what we could both do but also not do (and options around what wasn’t possible).     That part went smooth.    He had the resources to overcome the challenge of moving 20,000 items.

The things I didn’t foresee that he did:  He connected all my Google Ads where they are going to be the most powerful.    He also connected me to all social media where every time a post is made to the site, it is broadcast out to all of these media outlets automatically.    That was stuff I did manually for years and now it is not only done for me, it looks much better than it used to.

The content moved, I jumped in after the structure was set.  Clay gave me the instructions and I helped speed up the finalization of the site.   This was to speed up the process and get the new site up faster, something I was not only willing to do but wasn’t a problem because of the time I have spent doing a lot of the same stuff and the site rebuild I did a few years before.

Clay has the knowledge, the solutions and the patience.    Sometimes he had to explain things to me three times before I figured out what I needed to do.   My challenges, not his.    He was able to get me to where I needed to be.   And I misunderstood some things.  The formatting and how things were going to display, I just didn’t have that right in my head.    I didn’t classify everything how it should have been.    Easy fixes, Clay didn’t talk down to me when he explained to me why it was I did it wrong.    And he let me be the one to fix most of it.    He watched and spoke up when I was on the wrong track, something that anyone else dealing with him is going to appreciate.

There were things he had set up on the site that did not fit what I wanted.  After expressing my wishes, he easily changed the things to how I wanted them.  The end result is a site exactly how I want it and a good feeling about the money I invested in it.  You can get it done a number of ways. If you want it done right, give Clay a call.  Do it halfway, get half the results.  If your web site is important to you and what you do, make this correct decision and have it rebuilt right.

Mine is a fishing site.    That is right in Clay’s expertise.   But I will tell you that he is not limited to fishing industry partners.  If you need a much better web site, it doesn’t matter what business you are in, this guy will get you set up.
