The host location will remain at the Fat Cat Tavern.     Check in will be Friday May 11, 5 to 8PM.
We have the same volunteers to staff the event we had last year.      Everything should go very well again.    The charity this year will remain Suncoast Animal League.      Sponsorship will develop now but we have had nearly all the same sponsors the first seven years and I would expect that will remain the same again.    For those who will be sponsors, I will have a new address to send stuff.    Currently in limbo, and hoping to own a house soon:   I’ll set up a delivery address.     Your contributions are huge for our winners and our very popular raffle.

The event remains “all lure, all amateur.”  This is a great event for first time tournament anglers with fantastic sponsor support.  The format remains “longest trout, longest redfish” with the grand prize in each division “the longest total inches of the longest trout and longest redfish.”   The Bonus Species “buy-in” will again be flounder (a $5 entry fee for the chance to win the entire money pot for “longest flounder.”   )  In 2014 we added an “Overall Pool.”   A $10 buy in and you compete against everyone in all divisions.   The Overall Pool has added great interest in this event.   That payout often greater than a division win.

The format remains the same.     All lure.     A fly division.    Trout winners, redfish winners; grand prize category, longest combined inches of redfish and trout.   Bonus species flounder.      Entry fee the same at $30.      All five divisions the same:   Open; No Motor; Ladies; Junior and Fly.
