I’ve had several conversations recently on how I find the spots that I fish.  The bottom line is simply that persistence pays.  It takes time, effort, and attention to subtle detail. It’s a rare case when someone actually gives a specific coordinate that’s right on the money.  More often information is passed between trusting individuals with obscure detail.  My infamous friend the late Capt. Doug Hemmer once gave me a clue on where to find redfish for a tournament.  He said, “Go through the number two hole and go straight”. At which I replied “the high bar?” His response was “come in quiet”, end of conversation.  Sure enough, the redfish where there and we took first place in the tournament.  The point of the story is that the information is often there if you have the knowledge to decipher the code.
