I don’t believe I’ve experienced a more windy May in quite a while. Even with a hard east wind the tide has been usable to fish with. That is due to the upcoming full moon and getting close to summer. If it was January the Gulf would look like a moon scape. Redfishing on the incoming tide is good with live shrimp. To find some trout I’ve done well on the inside bays on the incoming high tide. If there is some left over rock grass from the winter, concentrate on that area.  The deeper water out around 8 to 10 feet has a few trout. Drift near some structure and broken bottom casting 1/8 oz. jigs with a MirrOlure Provoker in watermelon redflake. with a vertical jigging action. The trout are not spread out so if I hook up with two fish close together then I will work that area. To slow the vessel from the wind use a drift anchor or a 5 gallon bucket.  There are a few mangrove snapper showing up on the inshore rocks. Live shrimp is the best bait. Look close at those crab buoys for triple tail. High incoming tide will in the morning this weekend.
