It’s Earth Day and there’s no better time to get outdoors.  Fishing this time of year can give you even more reason to celebrate as everyone from land based anglers to boaters of any size craft can get it on the fun.  There are multiple targets from inshore to offshore including migratory species travelling through our area and resident fish that have become more than cooperative.  With the right planning, a variety of these fish can all be caught on the same day.  Some of my favorites are Spanish mackerel, kingfish, and cobia along our beaches, then a move to the inside for redfish, snook, and trout.  Some spots such as artificial reefs inherently hold multiple species adding even more to the mix.  Snapper, flounder, sea bass, white grunts, and grouper are all popular extras.  In remembrance of Earth Day be respectful of the all species caught and gently release all that are out of season or will not be eaten fresh.
